1. PowerPoint One - Making Up Stories — 15 Slides give a lead into making up, telling or writing stories. Introduces Character, Setting, Plot and gives a story starter with questions for developing the story further.

2. Thirty-six (A4) Posters including 15 which develop the ideas in the PowerPoint while the rest give story starters and prompt questions to help develop the starter into a story. Intended for discussion and/or display.

3. The nine Story Starters — Each Story Starter and it’s Prompt Questions Sheet are on one (A4) sheet. Laminate as they print so the two are side by side OR fold in half to make back to back (A5) Cards — see preview.

Posters and Activity Cards

2. Set Two - 15 story cards with suggestions for a co-operative activity

In small groups children sort cards into good & bad characters, choose characters for a ‘new’ story, make up their new story (eg Goldilocks and the Wolf) then act it out. Cards include set of 6 good characters (3 little pigs, Red Riding Hood, R R Hood’s grandmother, 3 Billy Goats Gruff, the 3 bears, Jack) and 4 bad characters (Goldilocks, Troll, Giant, wolf) with 3 settings (the woods, on the farm, bridge) and two character sorting cards (a good character/a bad character) with suggestion for activity.
