The Queen came to the throne on February 6th 1952 and her coronation took place on June 2nd 1953. The only other British monarch to celebrate a Diamond Jubilee was Queen Victoria in 1897.
Celebrations and events will take place around the country to mark 60 years of The Queen’s reign.
